RUINS: 'Cauldron' To Receive European Release This Month

January 8, 2009

Hobart, Tasmania-based black metal band RUINS will release its second album, "Cauldron", on January 30 via Debemur Morti Productions. According to a press release, "the seven songs of 'Cauldron' personify the savage yet romantic landscapes of that remote island; enshrouded in shadow and drama, yet incisive as a razor to the eyeball."

"Cauldron" track listing:

01. Where Time Is Left Behind (Echoes Of Ghosts)
02. Threshold Forms
03. Cauldron
04. Hanged After Being Blinded
05. Genesis
06. Upon These Skeletons (Bury The Dead)
07. Suicidal Pulse

Two songs are available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

"Cauldron" is available in Australia through Stomp.

RUINS has already commenced work on a new album, tentatively titled "Front the Final Foes", for an early 2009 release. Drums and guitars have been recorded for eight new songs, and vocals are being recorded at present.
